The Humaneering Institute strives to consider the goals and concerns of its stakeholders, including people who have an interest in somehow making humaneering technology their career. For the next 20 to 30 years, formal or tacit knowledge of humaneering technology will remain a scarce and valued resource. Individuals acquiring this knowledge and experience will have multiple attractive options available for making humaneering technology the foundation of a secure and prosperous career.

We invite people with a career interest in humaneering technology to influence the Institute's work through guidance, participation, and support.

Guidance

• Make a suggestion
  We are interested in hearing your ideas. Use the provided electronic form to make a suggestion. Your suggestion can be anonymous, or you can provide us with you email address so we can respond, potentially with feedback on how we are going to use your idea.

Participation

• Review posted development needs
  In 2010 the Institute will expand on its practice of privately soliciting people for humaneering development process support. In January, we will begin posting select open calls for design panel participants, field project professionals, case study developers, and other assignments, including both part-time volunteer and full-time paid roles. Please check monthly for new postings.


• Volunteer based on your interests
  Virtually everyone now working with the Institute began as a volunteer, and the Institute is reaching out now to involve more academic scholars and practice professionals in this important work. There's no better way to become familiar with humaneering technology and its development than to become part of the process. Please complete the volunteer form, letting us know what interests you about humaneering and how you would like to participate in its development. We will personally acknowledge your interest, and actively seek ways to get you involved according to your interests.


• Become a humaneering technology consultant
  The Humaneering Institute is in need of humaneering-trained consultants for work on field experiment teams, which combine scholars and consultants for action research field trials of humaneering technology. These assignments qualify as supervised experience toward professional licensure. People with HR and OD experience are invited to learn more about this role and express their interest. Full-time and contract positions are available.


• Sign-up to provide Open Source Input
  Do you enjoy sharing your ideas and experiences, taking surveys, and learning about emerging best practices? If so, you will want to sign-up for the Institute's Registry for Open Source Input. We will enter your information into our Research Participant Data Base and, from time to time, contact you online with an interesting research survey for you to complete.


• Become a Founder of the Humaneering Institute
  If you see yourself as an pioneer or trend setter, then you should become an Institute Founder. For a financial contribution of at least US$40, you will participate significantly in the Institute's founding, and will begin receiving timely information on the inner workings of the Institute. This is a meaningful way to participate in the development and diffusion of humaneering, and a great way to identify a variety of additional opportunities for your participation in the months ahead.

Support

• Contribute to the Books for Libraries Fund
  The Books for Libraries Fund provides at no cost two copies of all Institute printed materials requested by public libraries anywhere in the world. Your gift of any amount to this Fund will enable the Institute to provide books to more libraries.


• Contribute to the 2020-Vision Endowment Fund
  A gift to the 2020-Vision Endowment Fund will support the development and diffusion of humaneering technology for use by current and future generations. The principal is preserved and only the investment proceeds used, which gives all contributions lasting impact. Your gift of any amount to this Fund will result in significant advancements in human effectiveness and economic capacity throughout the world.
